Social Media Creator Intern (Part-time)
We are hiring a part-time Social Media Creator Intern whose main job is creating Reels for Instagram and other platforms. You will come up with ideas, shoot short videos every week and appear on camera as one of the faces of Astra. Our team handles the editing, so you can focus on ideas, scripts and being on camera. This is a part-time role of about 20 hours a week, hybrid in Bangalore: 3 days in office and 2 days from home, with hours that work around your classes.

Roles and duties
- Create Reels for Instagram and other platforms: shoot 3 to 4 short videos every week for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X
- Appear on camera as one of the faces of Astra: talking-head videos, job and internship updates, career tips, behind the scenes
- Come up with Reel ideas, write hooks and short scripts, and plan a weekly content calendar
- Spot Instagram trends, audio and formats early and bring them to the team as ready-to-shoot ideas
- Shoot clean raw footage (good light, clear audio, a few takes) and hand it to our editing team with notes
- Post the edited Reels with captions and hashtags on Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and X
- Reply to comments and DMs and engage with the community
- Share a short weekly report on views, reach, saves and follower growth, and say what to do more of
What we're looking for
- Currently a student or recent graduate
- You make Reels already, on your own page or for a brand
- Confident and natural speaking on camera
- Good spoken English (Hindi or Kannada is a plus)
- Understands hooks, trends and what performs on Instagram Reels
- Can shoot well on a phone: framing, lighting, clear audio
- Can create consistently, 3 to 4 Reels a week
- Available for about 20 hours a week, including 3 days at our HSR Layout office
Nice to have
- You have grown a personal or brand page
- Basic understanding of Instagram Insights and LinkedIn analytics
- Interest in careers, hiring or the student ecosystem
- Basic understanding of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and similar
- Basic video editing knowledge (not required, our team edits)
