## Skills to put on a Product Manager resume

- **Product:** Product Strategy, Roadmapping, User Research, PRDs, Prioritisation
- **Analytics:** SQL, A/B Testing, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Funnels
- **Tools:** Jira, Figma, Notion, Excel

## Weak vs strong resume bullets

- Weak: Managed the onboarding product.
Strong: Redesigned onboarding from 7 steps to 3 after 20 user interviews; day 7 retention rose from 31% to 39%.
- Weak: Worked with engineering and design teams.
Strong: Led a team of 6 engineers and 1 designer to launch UPI autopay in 10 weeks; 22% of subscribers switched in the first month.

## Tips for a Product Manager resume

- Every bullet should end in an outcome: retention, revenue, conversion, time saved.
- Show how you decided, not just what you shipped: research, data, experiments.
- APMs and freshers: case competitions, product teardowns and side projects count.
- Mention team size once so the scope is clear.

## Frequently asked questions

### What should a product manager resume focus on?

Outcomes you drove, how you found the problem, how you prioritised, and the size of the team and product. Metrics matter more than feature names.

### How do I write an APM resume with no PM experience?

Use projects, internships and college roles where you defined a problem, worked with others to build something and measured the result. Add a product teardown or case study link.
