I started by fixing my hostel’s broken expense spreadsheet. That spreadsheet became Splitly, now used by two thousand students. I am looking for a team that cares about craft as much as shipping.

Hostel rooms tracked shared costs in WhatsApp, and money went unpaid for weeks.

Approach

A one-tap split flow, UPI deep links and a gentle reminder bot. Built in Next.js and Postgres.

Result

Spread to 4 colleges by word of mouth in one semester.
