About the company & role
As an AI Engineering Intern, you will work directly with engineers to understand technical challenges, translate them into AI use cases, and iterate on solutions based on user feedback. A few additional responsibilities will include:  Developing AI-powered tools, agents, and workflows to support engineering and product development activities for braking and steering systems in the Vehicle Motion division. Identifying high-value opportunities to apply generative AI, machine learning, automation, and agentic workflows within existing engineering processes. Prototype and evaluate new AI concepts quickly, then mature successful concepts into reliable tools that can be used by engineering teams. Applying AI to embedded software development activities, including areas such as code generation, code analysis, debugging support, test development, requirements analysis, and engineering documentation. Developing AI-enabled solutions for engineering analysis, including processing, interpreting, and summarizing technical data and test results. Building workflows that combine AI models with engineering tools, data sources, scripts, APIs, and internal systems. Explore the use of AI agents to automate multi-step engineering tasks and improve engineer productivity. Supporting development of retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge assistants, and other AI solutions that allow engineers to more effectively access and use technical information. Evaluating the accuracy, reliability, and limitations of AI-generated outputs in engineering applications. Researching emerging AI technologies and determine their applicability to automotive engineering and embedded product development. Documenting developed solutions, architecture, lessons learned, and recommended practices for broader adoption within the organization. Taking ownership of AI projects from initial problem definition and proof-of-concept development through validation and deployment. Improving data accessib
