The Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer ensures all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates within contracted parameters while driving innovation to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs. This role encompasses risk management, infrastructure maintenance, vendor management, performance reporting, and root cause analysis. • Serving as technical subject matter expert for hands-on troubleshooting of critical infrastructure including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, and building automation systems • Managing contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation • Conducting root cause analysis for operational issues and implementing corrective actions • Establishing performance benchmarks and preparing comprehensive reports on facility infrastructure operations • Collaborating with DCO managers, business leaders, and partners to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety, performance, reliability, and sust BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience - 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience - Experience in vendor management - 5+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License - Knowledge of electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but are not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems or SCADA systems - Knowledge of mechanical systems i
