Financial Analyst I, FOAA Leases

Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our leasing team. The responsibilities include month-end closing activities for multiple sub ledgers, manual journals, pre-recon and other analyses, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations and balance sheet analysis, and reporting. This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting,reporting systems, procedures, and policies. This position will play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure efficiency and control improvements. Basic qualifications Experience using data to influence business decisions CA with 0-4yrs of post-qualification experience in Month end closing of Books of accounts / working on various Sub-ledgers / Accounting Knowledge / Balance sheet Reconciliation & Reporting activities Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting is a plus. Preferred qualifications Good communication skills Good articulation skill Well versed with excel BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of finance experience - 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills - Experience using data to influence business decisions - Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
