Network Dev Engineer I(Security), Corporate Network Engineering

Network Development Engineers perform high quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best practices application, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and produce appropriate technical documentation. • Design and build innovative, multi-vendor data connectivity solutions to support Amazon’s growth worldwide. • Drive scaling current network designs to meet the demand of our customers • Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and systems support. • Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems and ensure our network continues to meet their demands • Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our network quality and reliability • Work closely with our teams to assist in defining the tools we require • Automating the deployment of network devices gateways using infrastructure as a code across all of our network fabrics using automation such as CDK, Python. • Be responsible for automating the deployment of network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports AWS services. • Create and review documentation and process regarding network. implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc. • Leads design, network/code and security reviews across teams to identify risks and prevent classes of bugs prior to production release. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of IT Security experience - 2+ years of major internet routing protocols experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ year experience in managing security products such as ISE Firewall, and VPN
