Program Manager II, Amazon Books

• Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Application Engineers, and Risk teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and operational scalability through automation and AI-enabled solutions. • Use data and metrics to identify trends, evaluate business performance, and prioritize investments. • Lead deep dives into operational issues, quality defects, and high-severity escalations, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions. • Monitor automation performance, adoption, accuracy, and business impact through scalable reporting mechanisms. • Build business cases, define success metrics, and measure realized benefits including productivity gains, quality improvements, and operational leverage. • Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements and work closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle. • Drive end-to-end execution of automation and process improvement programs supporting Books Risk Management workflows. • Communicate program updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders across multiple organizations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
