As a Codec Engineer at Prime Video, you'll work on encoder/decoder solutions that impact billions of streaming hours annually. You'll collaborate with team members to optimize codec performance and implement effective video delivery solutions across various platforms. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Solid understanding of video coding standards (H.264, HEVC, AV1) - Solid understanding of video coding standards (H.264, HEVC, AV1) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - • Experience with video encoding optimization and profiling tools • Knowledge of video quality assessment and metrics • Familiarity with open-source video encoders and FFmpeg • Experience working on video processing systems • Experience with AI-assisted C/C++ code develo
