Senior Software Development Engineer, Silk Browser, Web Experiences

Design and deliver complex features for Silk browser and WebView across multimodal and TV devices, driving end-to-end ownership from architecture to launch. Lead Chromium upleveling and platform migrations, ensuring compatibility and performance across Fire OS and Vega OS platforms. Own build system improvements and release infrastructure to improve developer productivity and release velocity for the team. Drive operational excellence — including security patch releases, crash rate reduction, and production health monitoring across device families. Mentor and grow junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing to raise the overall bar of the team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with AI/ML technologies - Experience with Chromium Browser technology
