Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership - Lead critical customer engagements including cloud adoption and migration programs, and complex technical challenges with high-stakes outcomes - Serve as a trusted technical advisor to startup founders and senior business and technical leaders, operating at a strategic level and creating opportunities for your team to act as trusted advisors - Apply deep technical understanding across multiple domains to invent, evolve, and simplify solutions that drive customer success Team Leadership & Development - Coach and develop experienced Solutions Architects to elevate their technical capabilities and strategic advisory abilities - Build a high-performing team through effective hiring, onboarding, and continuous skill development - Foster a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession - Maintain a high bar for operational excellence; define and maintain appropriate cadences for inspecting the business in your area Strategic Impact & Collaboration - Champion your area’s customer needs with senior leaders within AWS - Bridge customer needs with AWS product teams, ensuring customer feedback drives product improvements - Partner with senior leaders within AWS sales, investor management, specialist, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and clear obstacles to customer success BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 10+ years of managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles experience - 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. - Experience in people management and CXO level engagement PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud - AWS Professional level certification
