Software Dev Engineer II-TEST, Amazon Autos

The successful Software Development Test Engineer will be obsessed with customer experience, quality improvement, and challenge the status quo. In this role, you will: • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test solutions using new or existing technologies that test major portions of software (e.g., significant component, set of features, applications or services) for large-scale, critical, and/or highly complex software. • Influence the design and write a significant portion of the code. • Ensure work is consistently high quality (e.g., maintainable, reliable, efficient, etc.) and incorporates best practices. • Ensure code reviews tend to be rapid and uneventful. Provide useful code reviews for changes submitted by others. • Identify problems and propose solutions, taking on projects that identify and mitigate risk while measuring software quality. • Improve your team’s automation of development, testing and deployment. • Desi BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 4+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of technical work experience - 3+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience - Experience working with Agile methodologies - 6+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - Experience in API & Mobile testing - Knowledge of QA methodology, industry-standard tools and bug tracking tools - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full soft PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment - Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services - Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
