Software Development Engineer, Fulfillment by Amazon, FBA

As an SDE-2 on this team, you will be a technical leader who owns the design and delivery of systems at the intersection of seller economics, fulfillment infrastructure, and category-specific growth: - Design and build end-to-end systems that remove structural barriers to FBA adoption. - Own the technical architecture for your domain, balancing speed-to-market with long-term scalability across FBA's global footprint - Work across organizational boundaries — our charter includes alignment to make changes on partner teams' systems where needed to deliver the mission - Translate complex business problems (cost-to-serve optimization, supply chain defect reduction, category-specific seller economics) into clean, scalable technical solutions - Influence technical direction across the broader FBA platform by contributing design patterns, shared infrastructure, and experimentation frameworks that other teams adopt - Mentor engineers on the team and shape engineering culture as we grow BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
