Software Development Engineer II, Aurora Storage, Aurora Storage

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Aurora Storage Fabric team, you will design, develop, and maintain critical infrastructure systems. You'll own end-to-end delivery of distributed systems components, write high-quality scalable code, conduct code reviews, and ensure system reliability. Working closely with senior and principal engineers, you'll architect solutions for petabyte-scale storage challenges while balancing immediate operational needs with long-term platform goals. You'll drive projects from conception through deployment, make data-driven decisions using metrics and monitoring, and contribute to the team's technical roadmap by identifying innovation opportunities. This role requires strong ownership, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving the reliability and efficiency of Aurora's foundational storage platform. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
