Software Development Manager, Product & Offers Experience

As a Software Development Manager on the team, you will be expected to: - Take on hard, ambiguous problems and break them down to their simple parts. - Manage a team of high caliber Software Development and Quality Assurance Engineers working on building world class, scalable distributed systems and mobile customer experiences. - Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach Software Development Engineers at different levels of experience. - Manage and execute against project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, high paced engineering environment. - Interface with our internal customers to understand requirements, set priorities and communicate direction and progress. - Own all operational metrics and support for your BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product and program management teams - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience - 7+ years of software development and delivery experience - Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - 2 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers - Experience managing large projects and multifunctional teams - Experience building a roadmap and delivering high scale internet serv
