Software Development Manager, Transportation Financial Systems

What will you own? • You will own managing a team of 7-10 engineers within Transport Financial System. Your primary responsibility is to manage diverse initiatives and enable your team to deliver long term technical solves • You will own roadmap execution for your tech area, in close collaboration with Product Management and customer • You are responsible for driving innovation and next-gen solution vision for your area in collaboration with Sr SDEs and PEs • You are responsible for managing growth of SDEs reporting to you through structured performance management and career growth plan What interesting engineering problem will you solve? • You will own complex systems that manage financial accounting and enable the regulatory and compliance goals • You will own building high scalable systems that can handle billions of transactions from carrier manifests and invoices delivering logistic services • You will drive accounting systems architectural ev BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of engineering experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
