The Under the Roof Labor Planning Technology (UTRPT) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join us in creating solutions that power Amazon's labor planning capabilities. Our team owns fundamental services used to make labor planning recommendations, working closely with Science and Data Engineering teams to integrate and support planning solutions. As a member of our engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to write high-quality code, collaborate across teams, and contribute to services that impact Amazon's operations at scale. In this role, you will: • Write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code that meets Amazon's standards • Work with Science and Data Engineering partners to implement and support model integrations • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, deployment, and operations • Contribute to team operational excellence through on-call support and problem resolution BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference
