As a solutions architect you will provide a consistent approach for customers and partners to evaluate architectures, and implement designs that will scale over time based on five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework — operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization. You will do well in this role if you demonstrate excellent customer-facing communication skills representing technical solutions at senior leadership levels. You thrive on diving deep into complex technology environments and express these as industry standard architecture diagrams and well-articulated solution narratives. You will be right at home if you stay updated on latest technology trends and have a sense of urgency and hunger for learning more about customer business and relevant technology solutions across industries. Solutions architects love to travel, spending time with diverse customers, small and large, self-manage high intensity context switching between competing priorities, and demonstrate a sense of urgency to deliver results. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud - Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
