About company
As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap, and development of core applications and services within the Affordability and Category Experiences engineering team. You will: • Work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers (mobile, front-end, backend) including Principals, product managers, designers, and marketers • Design, test, learn, and iterate on solutions in a fast-paced environment • Own the technical architecture and drive system design decisions for large-scale distributed systems • Lead and mentor engineers, and drive best practices using AI driven SDLC around design, coding, testability, and security • Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that directly impact millions of customers BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Prior experience architecting, developing and operating large scale distributed systems is a plus
