Sr. Technical Program Manager, Amazon Financials Foundation Services (AFFS)

- Lead cross-functional program execution by coordinating with product, engineering, accounting, and finance stakeholders to deliver financial systems that meet technical requirements and business objectives - Drive metrics-based decision making by collecting, analyzing, and communicating data that informs project direction and helps teams prioritize work - Facilitate stakeholder alignment by conducting regular communication with leadership at director and VP levels, ensuring transparency around project status, risks, and key performance indicators - Balance competing priorities by managing the tension between long-term product vision and immediate business needs, advocating for an incremental approach that delivers value consistently - Articulate technical strategy by translating complex technology choices and architectural decisions for diverse audiences, building shared understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
