Sr. Technical Program Manager - Amazon Photos, Amazon Photos

- Lead cross-functional program execution, partnering with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver customer-facing features and foundational services - Drive architectural decisions and technical planning for complex, large-scale systems handling massive data sets and ML model serving - Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs balancing customer needs, business requirements, and technical constraints - Break down large, complex projects into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and deliver them successfully and on time - Coordinate and plan across multiple teams, finding technical solutions that span services and applications - Cultivate relationships and earn trust with teams both inside and outside your organization, using diverse unblocking tools and mechanisms - Lead Think Big processes, ensuring the organization looks around corners and plans the right investments - Identify and create mechanisms that raise the bar on quality and speed of delivery Gather high-quality requirements and drive toward optimal architectural outcomes - Track and communicate the path to delivery within and across the BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design - Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - Experience designing and developing robust and scalable software and services in multimedia areas
