WHS Officer

As WHS Officer, You will support an assigned site(s), coordinate and assist in the implementation of Amazon WHS procedures and programs as directed by WHS leadership, in alignment with policy and site goals. You will partner with the site stakeholders to drive compliance with relevant Amazon WHS standards, procedures and applicable local laws. You will play vital role in coaching associates on new and existing WHS requirements, including their impact on the site. You will partner with site operations and WHS leadership on tackling day to day risks, identify and escalate compliance risks and improvement opportunities through the completion of assigned routine inspections and audits. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment - Experience in safety, environmental, or equivalent, or 3+ years of distribution or manufacturing field . - 2+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience, or Bachelor's degree - Experience in reputed private or government organizations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Government Certified Safety Professional preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders. - Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies. - Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability. - Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
