Wireless Network Development Engineer, Corporate Network Engineering

Wireless Network Development Engineers perform high quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best practices application, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and produce appropriate technical documentation. • Design and build innovative, multi-vendor data connectivity solutions to support Amazon’s growth worldwide. • Drive scaling current network designs to meet the demand of our customers • Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and systems support. • Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems and ensure our network continues to meet their demands • Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our network quality and reliability • Work closely with our teams to assist in defining the tools we require • Automating the deployment of network devices gateways using infrastructure as a code across all of our network fabrics using automation such as CDK, Python. • Be responsible for automating the deployment of network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports AWS services. • Create and review documentation and process regarding network. implemen BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 2+ years of major internet routing and switching protocols experience - 2+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience - 2+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience - Basic Knowledge of RF /Survey, RF Planning and Optimization. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with IP networking fundamentals and TCP/IP, UDP, DNS & DHCP - Experience working with networks, IT infrastructure, or system integration - Experience in Linux and Networking protocols, or experience in web security and experience in Network protocols like DNS/DHCP/TCP - Knowledge of wireless security - .1x, RADIUS, WPA2, EAP-TLS, PSK, general PKI concepts
