About the company & role
Groupon connects 42 million customers with local experiences - restaurants, events, wellness and travel - and the million-plus merchants who deliver them. Our mission is to get people offline and into the real world at prices that make it possible. We're an AI-native company in the middle of a platform transformation, moving from a deals marketplace to an experience discovery platform that works for customers and merchants at the same time. Head of Communications Writer to the CEO and CFO Reports to the CFO. Works directly with the CEO. Individual contributor. Write for a public company's CEO and CFO every week. It isn't a senior leadership role, and you don't need a decade of PR behind you. We hire on two things: how well you write, and how fast you're getting better. Think of it as a producer's job more than a PR one. What you will own The company story comes first. Groupon as an AI-native company, told the way each channel needs it told, down to what ChatGPT says when someone asks about us. You also run the CEO's and CFO's own channels: X, LinkedIn, all-staff notes, long-form letters, keynotes and interviews. Something goes out every week, and it sounds like them. Every external moment is yours as well: press releases, the press inbox, the corporate site, launches and the story around each earnings cycle. And you'll run comms on agents. Your own
